Fall Decorating Inspiration

Last week I certainly felt the shift in the day and the weather when we all were able to enjoy the first day of Autumn. I quickly found my fall decorations and got busy adding a few things cheery things to our home. I love to add seasonal decor throughout the house for each holiday and season. It seems as if as soon as I set out the fall decor the days sweep by so quickly. With the blink of an eye I'll be putting up our Christmas decorations (whoa, slow down there, girl!). My point is that there are just so many great events going on starting this time of year that everything goes by so quickly! So, instead of a post about organizing, I'll share my home fall decor.

Our front door wreath. I always dreamed of a red front door. I love the way that it is a nice background for the fall colors. I added a small sea star to keep my coastal theme connected to the interior decor of our home.

I added these cute sunflower pillows to our front porch bench.

On our entryway chest I added a simple fall arrangement that I put out every year. I probably bought it a Michael's, it was so long ago, I can't remember. I also love the twig pumpkins. I move these around the house over the years in the fall season. I love the country feel they add to our home.

I keep this conch shell full of seashells and then I added a small corn cobb and my ever-present sea star.

This entryway bench gets new pillows every season.

A simple way to add seasonal cheer, add a simple holiday ribbon around a flower arrangement!

More pumpkins! White and glittery pumpkins!

This lucky little beach bird (I'm not sure if it's a pelican or other type) he/she gets a new ribbon for each season, too. (I'm the little girl in the middle of that black and white picture).

I love having a fireplace in our kitchen. It adds such great ambiance, and I get to display season decor!

These little turkey's are so cute! They fit in this little kitchen cubby so well!

A glass vase of fall flowers... easy addition!

My new decorating adventure led me to creating a wall of mixed art pieces I love. I found some fun items online and clustered them on this wall. I'll change out the flowers on the two vases for the seasons.
